Our workshops offer a variety of hands-on experiences that introduce young children to concepts in engaging ways. Each class includes playful activities that are intentionally chosen to support your child’s development. Our learning extends beyond the classroom and into the museum and community where children and parents are encouraged to wonder and explore together as a family.

A curvy banana, a straight sidewalk, a squiggly noodle—there are so many types of lines everywhere you look! We’ll explore different types of lines and shapes through art, literature and play.

Hold onto your hat or those mischievous monkeys might come and take it! Through the objects at the Museum of African Art, and the books Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina and The Hatseller and the Monkeys by Baba Wagué Diakité, children will engage in play and critical thinking while expanding their world view.

Buckle your seatbelts, it’s time to go for a ride! Through experimentation, our engineers will discover why wheels are circle shapes, and how they makes cars go. We’ll end the class observing and learning about the first car that drove across the country.
