General Information
Closing Policy
SEEC will be OPEN if the Federal Government is operating on a regular schedule.
SEEC will be CLOSED if the Federal Government is closed.
SEEC may operate on a LIMITED SCHEDULE when the Federal Government announces unscheduled leave, adjusted home departure, or any other approved late arrivals. Parents will be notified by 6:15 in the morning if SEEC will open late or on time during unscheduled leave. If SEEC opens late we will open at 9:00 a.m. There may alos be times when SEEC will close between 4:00 and 6:00 depending on weather conditions. Parents will be notified by e-mail prior to 3:00 p.m. about closing time for the day. The decision will be based upon weather conditions such as icy roads, snow, or sleet. If parents are uncertain about closing time, it is their responsibility to contact SEEC to confirm closing time or arrive at SEEC by 4:00 p.m.
If the Federal Government announces an early close during the workday, SEEC will remain open for 1 hour beyond the newly determined closing time. During inclement weather, parents should provide contact information to allow easy contact should an early closing arise.

Diane Homiak Award
As a lasting tribute to the memory of SEEC supporter, parent, and employee Diane Homiak, a fund has been established which will annually recognize the commitment, creativity, and contributions made by a teacher to SEEC. The teacher will be honored at the staff appreciation dinner, held annually in February.
Nomination forms will be available in each center in January. The committee will make its selection and the honoree will be announced at the Staff Appreciation Dinner.
